LITTER NEWS!!!
WHOPPER LITTER! Jury whelped a huge litter of 9 on June 28th. First time mom and babies are doing very well. There are 4 gorgeous little girls and 5 handsome boys. Jury and Ricky have some of everything, red and blue merles and black and red tri colored. There is a good possibility of the tris having blue eyes. Their pictures were updated on July 28th. AKC and ASCA registerable.
THEY'RE HERE! Denim delivered 7 healthy beautiful babies June 20th. Judge is the sire of her puppies. Pictures were updated 7/28/2010. AKC and ASCA registerable.
EMBER'S BABES HAVE ARRIVED! Ember and Hawk are the proud parents of 3 boys and 1 girl. They are AKC and ASCA registerable. Photos were updated on july 28th.
FIRECRACKERS! Sky surprised us by whelping on the 4th of July. The sire is Judge and the pups are AKC & ASCA registerable. Their pictures were posted on July 28th.

OUR MISSION!!!
We at Irongate love our dogs and love this breed. The Australian Shepherd is such a well balanced multi-purpose dog. Not only are they fantastic working dogs but they make loving, loyal companions and guardians. Aussies are very intelligent and athletic and are easily trained. With appropriate training the Australian Shepherd will excel in all arenas; obedience, agility, conformation, working trials, or as a great family pet and ranch dog. Because Aussies are working dogs they are high energy and need lots of exercise and "jobs" to perform. Therefore, they are not for everyone. The jobs can be something as simple and fun as playing ball or fetch. The dog will see it as a job instead of a game and will take it very seriously. Irongate is dedicated to the preservation and improvement of this wonderful breed. We strive to produce dogs that conform to the breed standard and are able to perform the tasks for which they were bred.
